I'm making a sign for my candy buffet that says "All you need is love... and maybe a little bit of candy."  That might be cute for a label!

I will be doing a nut/candy buffet for a fall wedding but I didn't think about putting a sign up or putting anything on the bags.  Those are really cute ideas!

At our candy buffet a couple years agao we put a little sign on the table next to our candy bags that "grab a bag, fill it up, enjoy the sugar buzz, and remember love is sweet" Found it on the internet awhile back and loved it!

Since "how sweet it is"  always makes me think of the James Taylor song,
How sweet it is to be loved by you

I like that suggestion.

I read where someone had a sign that said "A sweet ending to a new beginning," which I thought was nice.  I might use that for our cookie table.

Go with candy colors to match your wedding colors, have them in the "old timie candy jars"

Hi to all,

I am a 47 yr old and am getting married for the first time in 29 yrs. Do the math, yes I "had" to get married and we  17 divorced @ 18. Tim has never been married and is 45.  We haven't been to many weddings either.

This is a totally DIY wedding.  I have an illness that has taken me out of work for 3 yrs now and I was the breadwinner.

I need Ideas, our wedding is Nov 7 this yr in Virginia.

I have access to everything nature. And there is a bit of money for things we must have.  Please help me learn new things like the "candy buffet"  what is that??

all ideas welcome.

Angel

I love the idea of "A sweet ending to a new beginning". I was thinking about just getting some bags and getting a monogram stamp. Just some advice. I went to a wedding this last weekend that had a candy bar and NOONE took the candy. It was in the corner and half the room didn't know it was there. So, I would suggest either putting it near the door or the bar (somewhere people will definitely go) or putting some little note on the plate setting that mentions the candy bar so people will take advantage of it.

Reply to past post/comment:

A "candy bar" is basically just what it sounds like.  It's a table set up with different types of candies and bags/boxes/chinese take-away boxes/deli bags... and your guests can load up on sweets before they leave.  (It's typically set-up in a location near the exit.) Generally, couples will offer the candy bar as opposed to individual favors at the table.  FYI~ If it's not edible, 55% of your favors will still be on the table after yours guests are gone.
Good luck!

"Love... Sweet Love" is what I plan to use. I've also seen "Sweet Stop"

We did one and it was a huge hit! We had a really neat, modern monogram made, and we had a local printer print the monogram on clear bags! It was a classy touch and still stayed within our budget.

Not to hijack the thread but you can take a look here @ some candy buffets -- they can be elaborate or simple. . . One color or many -- it's up to you & your budget:

To the OP -- how about La Dolce Vita - -The Sweet Life, or "Sweets for the Sweet"?, Or "Courtesy of _______".

Or instead of words a cool design??

We're having just a cake and punch reception. The wedding is in evening like around 7-8pm. I REALLY like the idea of a "candy bar", Since we arent doing food, would the candy bar and a cake be to much sweets?
